Snipeing And Why I Love It
Sniping. Its something that alot of us hate. Your walking along, and then BANG, your dead. No forewarning, except for the possibility of your team mate being shot before you. And theres onthing you can do about it.
Also, whats more annoying? A sniper who camps and you know where he is, or one that moves around the map at will, and can use the sniper rifle at point blank range effectively? The camper that you can get rid of, because he is a dumb ass, and stays in the same place. The mobile sniper however can be almost anywhere at anytime. How do you frag him? what do you do? send a tank after him? a warthog? a ghost? with a ghost, he'll just snipe the pilot and/or the fuel tanks. The sniper loves a warthog, because it is so likely that'll you kill someone. The wraith? he'll just hide like a panzy and get a rocket launcher, assuming he doesnt already have one. Or he'll get up high and snipe of the cover, and then the pilots head. no options are good... aside from one. The only way to killa sniper is by USING a sniper. in effect, a snipers only fear is that another sniper will see him first, or that someone will sneak up behind him while he was tweddling his fingers, looking for a target in a team game, whichever team controlls the sniper rifle will controll most of the map, and most likely, the game. Two people with sniper rifles in coagulation can easily defend the red base from a team of 4. its simple really. Hold on to the sniper rifle. As long as people who wont die have them, no worries.
but overall sniping is cowardly, unfair, demeaning, and widely considered "unsportsmanlike", and severly destroys the other teams faith, concentration and chance of winning, not to mention their egos.
