What on Earth am I doing hereI have two keyboards on my desk, for a really stupid and convoluted reason.
See, I recently got a new desk. It's pretty awesome, a definite step up from the Frankensteinia
n monstrosity I had before, all cobbled together from a child's writing desk, an end table abandoned at my last apartment by an old roommate, and a footstool. I have a proper grownup's desk now and it's awesome. I even got a bracket thing to mount my PC tower in beneath the tabletop so that it wouldn't take up desk space OR sit on the floor inhaling dust and dog fur. But it worked out to be that the left side of the desk is the best place for it.

To change subjects for a moment, I have two mice as well as two keyboards. One is a wired piece of shit that came with the computer, the other is a cheapy wireless one. Over the years, they've both become wildly unreliable. The wired one doesn't work at all now, and the wireless can't pick up the signal from the USB transmitter thingy from more than about a foot away. This was fine when the tower was on the right side of my combo-desk directly next to my mousing area (or whatever you'd call the space where you shuffle your mouse around in), but now it is on the left of and underneath my new desk. This forces me to use the mouse on the left side of my desk, despite being right handed, at least until I decide on an overpriced replacement mouse.
So for now I have a keyboard in the center of the desk, where it makes more sense for me to type from comfortably. But for gaming, where you need to use both mouse and keyboard WITHOUT having your arms crossed awkwardly, I have my second keyboard placed on the far left of the desk, between the mouse and the edge. This has worked out well so far.
But that's not the point.
The point here is that I just realized I was using the both of them at the same time, one hand on each. I was just saving a file and then when I went to type in a savename for it this happened. I didn't do this on purpose, I just
It's really weird. I am typing all of this with two different keyboards. I don't know why I feel like this is something actually noteworthy, but there it is. It's way more comfortable than putting both hands on one keyboard with my current idiotic setup, but I feel like I'm starring in a hacker movie from the 90s or something. Getting all Swordfish up in here.
P.S. - I really hate this interface for typing up journal entries. It's horrifically slow and bogged down for me, there is significant lag between pressing a key and seeing a letter appear on my screen. Fuck this awful shit forever, from now on I am typing entries up in notepad and copy/pasting them ugh
