Hey RvB, Long Time No See
So, I'm thinkin I'll come back to RvB. I miss it lol. My last journal is about how I enjoyed my senior prom...and now I'm in the middle of summer after my first year of college lol. So to play catch up, college was great, made a lot of friends, had a good time, did okay grade wise, blah blah blah. Luckily I had a good roommate who I liked so much that I'm rooming with next year. She doesn't really like anything that I like, but she also doesn't mind that I put up a painting of Bruce Willis from Die Hard on our wall. So I'd say all is well.

But anyways, enough of that. What do I usually love to do on RvB? Talk about movies. I've been to the movies pretty much every week this summer and for the most part I've been a happy lady. Let's start a ways back with...

Forbidden Kingdom - Now, I love me the kung fu movies, and I'm convinced that Jet Li is the coolest mother fucker on the planet. So not suprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The kids in the beginning are awful actors and there's some childish dialogue, but you don't have a movie with Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and Collin Chou with Woo Ping Yuen doing action choreography and end up with a bad movie. The action was fantastic, the movie was visually pleasing, and I loved all the references to other kung fu movies. I'd love to see a sequel, with Donnie Yen as the villain. I'm always down for Jet Li vs Donnie Yen.

Iron Man - This was just the best movie ever. Robert Downey Jr was great. I can't wait for more from Marvel.

Hulk - It was good. Ed Norton's great, good action, and a great moment where the Hulk gets mad at lightning and throws a rock at the sky. Not the best movie ever, I don't really like the character of the hulk to begin with, but not a bad movie by any means.

Indy 4 - A lot of fun. Really silly plot, but for the most part it was a straight up Indiana Jones movie and I had a really good time with it. Some A+ moments, and Shia was a good addition. A nice installment to the series.

Narnia 2 - Despite a ridiculous song at the end of the movie trying very hard to ruin the film, overall it was very good. I think Peter was too much of a little bitch, but I still really enjoyed the movie and really want to see another made.

Hancock - Hilarious first half hour, then a sudden 180 in the tone. You could tell it was edited down. I did still like the movie, and I hope to see a director's cut which would make the movie flow better. Worth seeing.

Wanted - James McAvoy was good, and a nice action scene at the end.....that being said neither of those things could save this shitty movie.

Hellboy 2 - I loved it. I loved the first one (which is overlooked if you ask me) and I like Luke Goss so I was excited to see him as the villian. This movie lived up to my high expectations. It was funny, it was badass, it was very good visually, and really good action. Everyone should see this movie.

I think that about covers it. Hope everyone has been doing well!
