i guess i could update this
i got a job. i'll be working as a home weatherization assessor/energy auditor for the state (contracted). i'll start out doing it through a community action agency on low income homes. once i get established i can branch out and make it an actual business venture.
i've actually been in certification training for this job for the past 6 weeks. i have one more week to go. i got to learn all about heat transfer, heating systems, insulation, and diagnostic tests that i'll be doing. all in all, it's pretty interesting stuff. my last week (next week) will be a full blown assessment on a house one day, entering the data in the system the next, then our certification test. i'm ready to be done. living out of a suitcase gets really shitty after a few weeks.
in other news, i had a girlfriend for about a month and a half that turned out to be completely fucking psycho. she stopped calling me out of nowhere and is telling people i was stalking her... while i was halfway across the damn state. yeah, she's smart. my experiment in being a nice guy has officially failed. i just can't pull it off apparently.
and if anyone happens to be near Galesburg, IL on the 4th of July, swing on by my place for some ribs and a couple games of washers.
