I hate feeling small and insignificant. Why is it that size and apparent age (and let's not forget gender), determine people's level of respect for you? I'm and average height and weight. Unfortunately, I appear much younger than I am. No amount of makeup or "adult" clothing changes that. I just look young. People usually guess I'm around 17 or 18 ... not even close. Anyway, I'm getting sick of being disrespected!! Then again, maybe it's just my personality. I'm trying to be stronger, but I feel small. Maybe people can tell when someone feels insignificant...
I don't have a glamorous job. I work at a cafeteria and I know the food is gross (I don't cook it). People treat me like a waitress. I'm NOT a waitress, I just put food in the pans and clean up. Anyway, some jerks didn't wanna leave when we were closing. They gave me a hard time, and finally left when a fiery co-worker of mine stepped in. I tried to stand my ground and be tough, but it didn't make a difference. They treated me like I didn't even matter. But when my co-worker came... I mean, everyone knows he's tough ... but it hurt that, once again, my efforts to stand up didn't seem to make a difference!
Anyway, I guess i'm just complaining. But if anyone has advice, I'm all ears (or eyes...). And, I made a poll because... well, because I saw that I could. lol.

All of them. Um well not ALL of them. But I love books. Ok easier BOOKS I DONT LIKE:
romance/erotica new age and evil stuff (witchcraft etc.) dark fantasy evolution stuff and political garbage (both sides). I think that's it. Everything else is GRRREAT. I love to read. :) :) :) mostly sci fi of course. |
