At the end of 2011
Hey all, hope you lot had a great Christmas, I know I certainly did! The loot: - No More Heroes 2 - Speed on blu-ray - The Italian Job (original) on blu-ray - Dead Space 2 shirt - Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back mug and tin collection - Christmassy jumper - Instant coffee called 'Rocket Fuel' (and it is well named) - Aftershave/shower gel etc the usuals. My BIG present though was a new watch:  This is my new watch and I love it. The last watch I had was cool but it kept jumping forward in time a few days and sometimes time would stop entirely. If it had actually given me control of the time vortex I wouldn't have minded but when you start running late then it's causing a problem. So I have a swanky new watch now. All in all it's been a pretty good year, despite involving the end of my first long-term serious relationship. Top 5 films - Warrior - Drive - Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - 127 Hours - The King's Speech (I know you all got 127 Hours and The King's Speech in 2010 but in the UK we had to wait until January this year so shut up) Top 5 games - Dead Space 2 - Portal 2 - Batman: Arkham City - Mortal Kombat - Bulletstorm (Bear in mind I didn't get to play many games this year) Top 5 songs - 3 Doors Down - When you're young - Adele - Rumour has it - Foo Fighters - Bridge burning - The Coronas - Addicted to progress - Kasabian - Days of forgotten Normally I'd have another two lists here with my favourite trophies/achievements or favourite moments in real life, but the fact is I haven't done enough gaming this year to have the trophy list and the year has had so much in it that I don't know I could pinpoint 5 top things. I am eager to get into 2012 though, and I'm posting this journal now because I'll be out at a New Year's Eve party tonight. I will say one thing about 2012. I'm expecting things to happen. I want it to be a bigger and better year than ever. I want every aspect of my life to step up to the next level. Also I'm going to start taking my camera everywhere and I'll do a 'picture every day of the year' thing. Which should be fun and get me to use my camera more =D HAPPY NEW YEAR! |
