I wish consoles had dedicated servers, but it isn't the norm like it is for PC gaming. Consoles are pretty closed in that sense, my guess being that it's easier to manage. Can you imagine some poor n00b joining a Halo 3 server full of hackers? lol
Custom game searching would be cool... have you played Battlefield: Bad Company 2? Their implementation of custom game searching is fantastic! If I feel like it, I can get on there and play my favorite map/gametype 50 times in a row. Something like that would be so popular, you would think they would implement it so I can only assume there is a technical reason for it... or, maybe they are dedicating their personnel/resources elsewhere? Not working for Bungie, all we can do is speculate. I doubt they wouldn't include it for no good reason.
As for your last point, all I can do is repeat myself: Bungie has to pick and choose... they can't please everyone, every time. They have incorporated a lot of ideas, but for example if one person suggests something like jetpacks, and another says that's dumb, they can't listen to both. Creating a game that appeals to the majority is in their best interest. They've had so much experience and data collected from H2/3/ODST that by now they must know what the majority of their user base wants in a Halo game.
Wow, didn't even know the site had ever reset. I've been into RvB for a while I just recently found the need to make an account. Then purchased seasons 1-5, I think all Roosterteeth's stuff is genius, but anyway just wanted to saw your feats? achievements? What ever are quite the inspiration.
Dang! Just saw you on the site and liked what you said, checked out your profile and your a freaking role model now. Just thought you'd like to hear that.
No, I pre-order games from Amazon and don't lie to myself thinking it will get to me on (or before) release day unless I selected that shipping option. In fact, I almost always choose Free Super Saver shipping from Amazon because I'm cool with waiting. In the case of ODST, I chose to get it on day one because of the buy one get one half off deal at Best Buy. $45 + tax on release day is far better than $60 total while waiting for shipment.
They used to do it without asking, now they up their delivery charges and don't. That's my issue. It doesn't really matter, but pre-ordering something months before it comes out would make you think they'd at least try and send it out for the release day, not for the end of the week.
