College Update
It has been a long time since I posted in my journal (three months?!?), but I feel like doing it tonight because it is a special occasion: I got into the University of Southern California! I'm waiting to hear if I got invited to the Thematic Option program (the honors program). Now I'm just waiting to hear from UPenn, Princeton, UNC Chapel Hill, and Stanford (no chance in hell I'm getting in there, lol ;-) ). I will hear on Wednesday if I am a National Merit Finalist, so I'm looking forward to that. --UPDATE-- I am a National Merit Finalist! $17,000 per year if I choose USC. Very nice! High five!!
Also, in Speech and Debate news, my partner and I have been doing well. We broke to the octo-finals in the ASU Southwest Regional Championships, broke to the quarter-finals in our last tournament, and got first place in the 4-A Arizona Winter Trophy tournament. Overall, it has been a great few months, though I did get my first "B" in any class in High School this last semester. Fucking calculus.
