26 year-old male from Val-d'Or Quebec I'm a camera operator from southern Ontario currently living in Val-d'Or on contract work. I'm a big hockey fan and I obviously enjoy video games.
The postman It's a common misconception that the US Postal Service's motto is "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds". Truth is they have no official motto.
If the postal workers here had a motto, I'm sure it would be something like "fuck them it's cold".
I got one of those "while you were out" notices in the mail box for a package I was expecting . I was home at the time and the guy didn't even come up to my apartment (I could tell by the lack of footprints in the snow). Instead I had to pick it up from the post office myself.
This makes no sense to me. The shipment was paid for and it's ok for them not to finish the job? That would be akin to me being hired to create a DVD documentary and after shooting everything I turn the client and say "Alright, you edit it. Oh and thanks for the cash in advance but I can't be bothered to finish my job."
Have you ever paid for a service and not gotten what was promised? What did you do?
