Why, yes, I AM alive.
Sorry it's been a million years since my last journal. Not a whole lot going on recently. School still sucks. Work still blows. Anyway, back in October two of my close friends (Caleb and Shane) came over to my place to spend Halloween weekend with me. Literally an hour before they got to my apartment I bought a Kimber Custom II 1911 (.45 ACP) That's exactly what mine looks like. Anyway, these guys also brought with them the KWA airsoft M9 that I ordered a while back. Back to the Kimber. Brand spankin' new and the spring was extremely stiff. Before shooting it, we cleaned it, and the tolerances in it are EXTREMELY tight. It was a super bitch to put back together, but that is the drawback of 1911's. Anyway, we took that gun to an indoor range along with my Beretta PX4 Storm (9mm) and shot about 50 rounds through the Beretta and about 80 rounds through the Kimber. This really loosened up the spring in the Kimber. We cleaned it again and didn't have as much difficulty putting it back together. There was a lot of swearing involved both times though. I'm pretty sure it would have made a marine/sailor blush. After that we all went to the movie theater dressed up in our tactical gear and saw the movie Red. I saw it before, but the rest of them hadn't seen it at all. It's a fantastic movie, and it's hilarious. Anyway, in November, I proposed to my girlfriend and now we're engaged. I let her pick out the engagement ring afterwards, and she chooses a $1500 ring (solitare and jacket). Yay. That's pretty much it so far. I'm going on a police ride-along this Saturday. That's pretty much the extent of my excitement so far. |

Talk to me first. Then I will make you my friend.
