Sudden realizations.
Tonight I had what I thought was a discussion but apparently was an argument with a friend on Facebook. She was ranting about gaming and stereotyping all gamers as losers. I decided to rebut. Long story short, she was being ignorant and stubborn. She continued on and I had a sudden realization. This was on Facebook, she lives 4 hours away so is never really in my life, I am happy, I don't need ignorant morons in my life. So, right in the middle of one of her rants I sent: "So here we are, you're mad at someone who games so you're being a twat. I don't need you in my life. I have been nothing but a friend to you and have helped you through so much shit out of kindness I never needed to. You're ignorance and simpleton attitude has not only just lost you a friend but has also lost you someone you confide in. Don't forget the things you have told me, I never told anyone but that could change. Just remember next time you get your heart broken (I know there will be a next time because you are an idiot) I won't be there to help you. I will be the one standing off to the side pointing and laughing at you." *Block - Delete from Facebook* *Block delete from AIM* After that I got a massively long text to my phone asking for forgiveness. My response? "Sorry, who is this?" ^.^ I feel so amazing shedding this person from my life. Writing this journal right now has made me realize just how good it feels to rid yourself of life's leeches. :D

i don't care what you say, rooster teeth has done a lot for us they even did that extra life thing to help raise money for kids. so i was just trying to show a little appreciation for their hard work and all ok.

The Bloods and Crips have all Black membership thus within the context of the conversation you made a comment that in context, clearly unintentionally, had racial implications.

It has racial implications because the most famous bandana wearing, weed smoking, gangs with a gang-rape entry requirement are all black or all hispanic gangs. I fail to see how that could possibly be more clear.

If you had said "Dolphins covered in pesudo-nordic tattoos and snorting coke" then yes I would have made that connection.

As I said it's a cultural thing. Most intercity schools in America specifically ban bringing colored bandanas onto school grounds in order to avoid open gang warfare and territory disputes. There are parts of LA where you will quite literally be shot and killed for having the wrong color bandana on your person.

Ironically enough not mentioning the color doesn't really accomplish much as the two most prominent gangs, the Bloods and Crips, are both have exclusive Blacks only membership, they are also very dominant organizations in the American cultures for both ganja and rap music. They are also responsible for initiation rituals essentially requiring the rape of both a white woman and the girlfriend of someone in an opposing gang, though murdering someone from a rival gang will often suffice.

The Bloods and Crips are Black and the Latin Kings are hispanic, this is not racism this is fact. The Bloods, Crips, and Latin Kings make use of strategically placed bandanas to indicate their own gang affiliations. Within American gang culture the predominant uniform of primarily or exclusively white gang members simply do not make use of colored bandanas in the same manner, and frankly the prominent tattoos associated with the Aryan brotherhood effectively make the use of such a uniform a moot point.

You made a comment about gang culture that you were clearly unaware had racial implications within American gang culture. It simply does have those implications m8, there's no way around it. Had you said something about people sitting in a circle, smoking pot, wearing pointed white hoods I would have made different assumptions about the ethnic group in question.
