This is the kind of bull shit that pisses me off. This is the backwards, hypocritical, nonsensical, bull shit mindset that religion gives people. The fact that it keeps a charitable organization from funding programs that are DIRECTLY RELATED TO WHAT PEOPLE GIVE THEM MONEY FOR boggles my mind. At least parts of the organization are still going to help. It's still ridiculous that they had to break away to do it. Planned Parenthood does soooooo much good, that no matter your stance on abortion, you should support it. Oh, and, I know the article doesn't necessarily say it was for religious reasons. But, one could safely assume that the new republican, anti-abortion exec's decision is based in it.  Edit 2/3: Apparently there is more on this than I thought. Reading into it more. And maybe they reversed it this morning? |
