Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimTo start this off, I felt like doing a game that's fresh in everyone's mind: Skyrim.
What I plan on doing for game reviews is: New, old, arcade.
Now, for anyone new into the Elder Scroll series, it kinda doesn't take much to understand. Anything you misses in any old games, you can catch up on by reading some books in the game.
The beginning of any elder scrolls is sort of the same: you design your character. And actually, (correct me if I'm wrong) the Elder Scroll series is the only game series where how you design your character will effect how you play. If your an Argonian (the lizard), you get certain qualities the Nords (Normal humans) can get. I know that the Khajiits ...

And actually, (correct me if I'm wrong) the Elder Scroll series is the only game series where how you design your character will effect how you play. If your an Argonian (the lizard), you get certain qualities the Nords (Normal humans) can get. I know that the Khajiits (the cat) get the power to see at night better (night eye), and the Argonians can breathe under water and can't get sick as easily. Any others, you have to look at yourself.
Now, this story is different than what I believe is normal for Elder Scrolls. There are 2 story lines, along with the free play. You discover that you are Dragonborn, which gives you the power to Shout and absorb dragon souls. But, you have to save the world from a certain evil that may stop all of mankind's existence. That's the main storyline. The other storyline (or big sidequest if you don't think of it as a storyline) is there is a civil war in Skyrim: Stormcloaks vs. Imperials. The Imperials want to control the land, but the Stormcloaks are trying to preserve Nord freedom. The only thing I don't understand about this storyline is, if you want to be a Stormcloak and your not a Nord, they will still recruit you. It doesn't make sense to me because they are defending only Nords.
There's not much I can say about the graphics. Yes, everything does seem sort of real. However, there are some glitches that stand out to you, making you think the graphics aren't as good as you think. Its complicated and weird.... the only way you'll know what I'm talking about is if you play it.
My rating system for games are going to be puns related to the games. For Skyrim, I rate it 9 Arrows to the Knee out of 10.
Next week, I plan on doing The Darkness. Remember, order is New, Old, Arcade.
Until then,
