Wednesday update!

It is Wednesday so I hope you enjoy podcast #152 (brought to you by audible.com) and also the latest RT Animated Adventure.

This week's podcast is far ranging but I did want to follow up on something I mentioned in the podcast. I talked about a documentary called God Grew Tired of Us. The documentary is available for streaming on Netflix and I highly recommend it. I only talk about a small portion of the documentary during the podcast, however the documentary is much more compelling. It follows refugees fleeing war in the Sudan and their adjustment to life in the United States. You should totally check it out if you're interested in what has been going on over there.

On a lighter note, this week's Animated Adventure is Michael talking about the ultimate disease apocalypse movie and Burnie's assessment of a now closed terrible movie theater in Austin.

Finally, if you've got some money to burn, check out our new RTAA Shirts (weak one line arms not included).

Does Rooster Teeth use binaural audio for any of their productions? It would be interesting to have a podcast where just one binaural recording setup is placed in the center of the table, such that listeners with headphones hear precisely what they would hear were they sitting int he center of your conversation.

"Wicked Lazers" laser pointers can be seen without fog in normal conditions. I have the lowest one at 15mw and it can be seen in mid air, mostly indoors or in low light situations. But in a very dark room you see the beam all the way from source to target. Most impressive when used at night outside. Solid beam of light to the stars. I had the higher wattage ones and it was visible in brighter light. (125mw).

Most 5mw and lower you can't see the beam. Mostly due to lower priced ones are mostly IR energy when they rate them. Wicked Lazers have an IR filter so all you get is the proper wavelength.

Well worth the money to pick one up and just play with them. 125mw and higher have enough juice to burn. I popped balloons with mine, it will cut electrical tape, anything dark colored that can absorb light well will take in all the heat.

The prices are a lot lower then they used to be.The Spyder ones are still fucking expensive but damn near mad scientist level.
