Life moves pretty fast. After 9 years of life together, Michelle finally made an honest man out of me and married me on Sunday. Other than a few minor details, everything went pretty much perfectly. Everyone showed up more or less on time, enough to get pics done and the show on the road on schedule. The pastor was awesome, and the service was beautiful. But not nearly as beautiful as Michelle in that dress, wow. The reception went without a hitch. I heard nothing but compliments about the place, its food, and that everyone had a great time eating, drinking, dancing, and conversing. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone in the KC area. All in all, I don't think it could have gone any better really.
We didn't go anywhere for our honeymoon, instead we dug out from the piles of gifts (Thank you so much everyone!) and hung around town starting out next goal... house hunting! We've been out to about 7 house so far, and we both really like one in Grandview, but I need to look at another set of houses at least before I can say its the one. Anyone who knows me knows I'm very cautious (9 years remember). So maybe after next week, we'll put in an offer on that house if we don't find another we like better. We can't set back and wait too long, it really is a nice house. Plus if we want in on that $8000 tax credit we have to have the paperwork rolling by Oct. 15ish and pray nothing goes wrong along the way.
One thing we did though to just relax and have a good time was to go see a Royals game on Thursday. We watched them finish sweeping the league leading Tigers. Michelle and I saw the Royals pull off not just a win, but play an actually impressive game. They won 7-4, scored in 6 of the 8 innings they batted, hit 2 home runs (one which was reviewed and still called a homerun), 5 double plays (one of which was a line drive to the 1st baseman standing on the bag), and 2 stolen bases.
There was also a bit of excitement from the fans in the crowd. I saw a dad run over his kid to try and chase down a foul ball. Poor little guy got slammed into the seats from the aisle. The guy who ended up with the ball gave it to the kid. That's a good man. The dad took the kid up to get icecream afterwards and never came back. I also saw this guy heckling Detroit's right fielder to the point Magglio Ordonez gave the quick, close to the chest, flip of the bird. His large chested girlfriend was then up trying to get Ordonez's attention dancing around and flaunting her......assets. It worked for about an inning before an usher told her she'd have to set down and they would have to stop it.
Hehhehheh what a week ^_^
