Mass Effect 3 (part one)
Why I'm Going to Cry at the End of Mass Effect 3I don’t know about any of you, but I (like the title suggests) will be crying during the beginning and end of Mass Effect 3. Let me preface this by saying that I am and have been a fan of not only the Mass Effect trilogy, but also Star Wars, Star Trek and space in general all my life. If you were to ask me how old I was when I first saw Star Wars I wouldn’t be able to tell you. Possibly because it’s always been so ingrained in me that I was probably born with the knowledge of the original movies in my head.
Now admittedly I only recently got into Star Trek, at the time of writing this, thanks to writer/director J.J Abrams, but I’m doing my best to make up for that by watching the original series on Netflix Instant Stream and TNG after that. I do have to say though, that as for now I prefer Kirk over Picard (even though I have only seen a few episodes of TNG thus far).
Anyway, my point is that I am a huge fan of space epics and when Mass Effect was first featured in Official Xbox Magazine my friend and I read the cover story over and over. We compared what we read about the game to a previous Bioware favorite of ours, Knights of the Old Republic, which to this day is probably the best Star Wars game ever...
