9 days and countingHey everyone....ev
eryon
e as in the couple dozen people who have visited my page that is. I am down to 9 days before my wedding. A couple things struck me this morning. First of all, any of you who are married or are in the process of planning for a wedding know full well how frustrating the planning can be. I came to the realization this morning that I would not complain even one more time about the preparations. Greta (my bride to be) is a fantastic person and she has taken on most of the responsibility with the planning. Not that anyone should be surprised by that. I have taken on the responsibility of bitching about how she is driving me crazy and spending ridiculous amounts of money. I think that somewhere along the line we have both gotten caught up in "our jobs" pertaining to the wedding and we have both probably forgotten a little bit of what this is about. Over lunch today we meet with our pastor to go over some things. Mostly the questionnaire that they give to couples getting married. I really hope that this helps to put things in perspective for both of us. For me, it is not about the headaches and the money I have to spend and for her, it is not about the flowers, the dresses, or any one of a million details. It is about us joining our lives together.
Perhaps I am just having a crazy weird lucid moment, but that sometimes happens at 7:30 in the morning.
Wish me luck guys (not that I need it, like I said, she is a great girl.)
