Things I'd actualy pay money for

In a desperate bid to get back into the swing of writing I'd like to talk about something very near and dear to me
Money
I love money
and when a man as cheap as me is willing to part with it
It definitely should be noted
So...
I'm going to try to talk about the things so awesome that, in this world of piracy and bootlegging and "Fair-Usage" I could get for free with varying amounts of effort.
But am willing to pay for anyways

1.The Protomen

Where to start on these guys?
I guess the only way to describe their music would be
MEGAMAN
ROCK
OPERA

Just listen
Hope Rides Alone

awesome beyond belief
they've just recently released a second album
I would suggest buying both
although there is a definate change in tone between the two

The first album simply titled "The Protomen" has a sort of Cyberpunk-rock sound feel to it often using riffs from the games themselves and 8-bit inspired synthesizers behind wailing guitars
The Will of One

whereas the second album "The Father of Death"
draws heavy inspiration from 1980's rock I'm honestly not sure what sub category it's called but I'm definately reminded of themes from movies Escape from new york and Rocky 3 and 4 especially ( In fact they even did a cover of No Easy Way Out from Rocky 4) Breaking Out is a good example of this

If you got RE5 for the 360, I would be more than happy to be your Sheva.

it's like the creators of Snakes On A Plane and the creators behind Crank got together and made a next gen mod of GTA3.

I have no idea what that phrase means, because I don't come from... wherever you come from.

But really, from the beginning the killing came easy for him. And the only good part of the entire series was him and L trying to predict each others' moves every two seconds. So him continuing that tradition until the end kept it kind of good. The only part of the story that was actually boring with a boring Light was the time just after L's death. I mean, it was a year or something later, but storywise it was like two chapters away. When they went after that corporation? Up until he got his memories back it was no good. Then it was epic again.

Yeah, if Hitler was cool and a fantastic two-steps-ahead actor who can guess what every person is thinking at every minute of every day. Of course he got a god complex, he predict everything, trick anyone, get out of every situation, and kill people at will with just a face and a name. Don't tell me you wouldn't have one.

In reply to amedeus, #-1:

with the exception of near possibly using the death note
that's exactly how it went down

though honestly the only reason I watched that long is so I could see light die

by the End I hated him

I'm sure they ended close to the same, although I haven't seen the anime yet (I'm working my way towards it). But at the end of the manga, Light thinks he's won because he knows all the setups Near has placed. Then he doesn't win, because Near predicted his predictions due to the fact that the other guy (Mikami or something, I think) took out the real Death Note ahead of schedule, allowing one of the SPK to break in and switch it with a fake. Now everyone knows Light's Kira. But when Near showed him the fake book with his own name in it, he glimpsed it and now knew Near's real name. SO. He pulled out the paper in his watch and tried to write it down, but Matsuda shot his hand. Then he tried to write it in blood and got shot some more. This is where I originally thought it ended. With him crazy and writhing on the ground in the background, and what's his face asking Near, "Is this the end?" and Near replying, "Yeap!"

But there's two more. Light begs Ryuk to help him, and Ryuk agrees to write in his Death Note. He, of course, doesn't write Near's name, but Light's, as per the agreement they made when they first met. Thus, Light dies. Then a year later, Matsuda talks with one of the other guys. Ide, I think. Talking about his theory that Near killed Mikami in prison since he died randomly ten days after Light's death. The end.

It's all confusing to some extent, and the bad translation really doesn't help. But it's not impossible to follow.
