Boat of my dreams is giving me nightmare I had a wish to buy my dream boat. I set standards of being 5.5m long with an inboard motor. A Haines Signature with either a run about/fishing boat or a bow rider.
I found my dream boat. It's a 1997 Haines Signature 560 (5.6m) with a Mercruiser V6 262 magnum motor (205hp) bowrider. It's even red silver stripes on white hull. Everything I want except for the age. Perfect. Well so I thought. $7500 later the motors still not running 100% and I've taken out about 8 times and been towed or broken down at least 5 times. I had the chance to look at 3 boats. looking back I should have taken the outboard 135hp option. Dam my need for power.
