I have gotten bored with the site...I love talking to everyone here and I will continue to do so when I log in

chapter 6: the party full at last
The morning rose early this beautiful day. Forgetting the nights past chill, the morning sun was a warm sight to see and filled my bones with a cleansing that has not been felt in sometime. Call it cleansing from the night prior's innocence loss or just the warmth of the rays after a chilled night even by the fire. As I stood in the sun absorbing it's beauty within my flesh...
"Hey get your ass moving we can't stay here any longer" Konora was talking to me apparently. She gave me a little grin but I knew she was serious at the same time. We gathered our belongings and started down the road. A day's walk was ahead of us.
We walked for the better part of the day and then I heard a cry "OOOOOOOOOOO!" Caspian was shot with an arrow in the shoulder. Blood flowed from both sides of his wound and then Konora saw our attacker.
She started to go around for a flank and then there they were. 3 TODD members walking out of the forest. There was one archer and 2 with swords and all were dressed in the usual dark black robes.
With one swoop from Valkyrie the 3 TODD followers were knocked around like dumbies in a training arena. They were thrown against trees and seemingly dead when they hit the ground until one tried to get up and then I took over for Valkyrie. I thought I might as well get my hands a little dirtier.
I did fairly well I thought for my first real battle. Everyone decided to watch with a careful eye making sure I didn't end up dead. Swords clanking and sweat pouring from both of us. This was a trained fighter I realized because he seemed to be smiling. I went for a thrust thinking he wouldn't suspect it. The fool am I. He knocked my sword away and cut my stomach and knew I was dead. "CLANG" I don't remember what happened but when I hit the ground I saw Konora finishing up what I had started. I am thinking she blocked a shot that would have ended my life there and then.
Konora was a marvel to see with a sword. It was if the sword was a part of her and she had it with her at all times. Soon the vile creature was dead and I was laying on the ground thinking I was going to be the same.
"OH MY!" a voice came through the trees. Everyone drew back their weapons to the ready position and then I saw a lovely young lady walk straight up to me. She felt my head and told me to close my eyes. I felt the warmth of the sun again. It was very calming and the pain just went away. I didn't feel anything anymore and when she told me to open my eyes, my wounds had gone except for the blood on my clothers and the scar from where I've had my fatal wound. She did the same for Caspian as Konora pulled out the arrow and this lady healed him as well.
"What form of magic is this?" asked Holpar as she stared amazed at the miracle that was performed before her very eyes.
Before the lady spoke Mel answered, "She's a cleric. They don't believe in manipulating for survival just to heal when injured. They shun mages for what we do. Isn't that right healer?"
The youing lady stared in astonishment and then replied, "I shun no one. I follow my own practices and if you wish to manipulate magic that is your own choice. I don't know what you heard about the clerics but we do not shun mages nor do we favor any type of magic. We just heal. We are born with the power. It is not magic but a power."
I saw an arguement insuing so I decided to stop it before it went any further. "Miss, thank you for saving me. I don't know your name, however, may I have it please?"
She stared at me so sweet and innocent and nodded, "I am Alexandria." and after a few brief introductions she looks over at Konora noticing that she is the leader of the group. "Excuse me Konora," bowing while getting Konora's attention she continued, "I know it's not my place to ask but the TODD burned down the cleric temple just west of here. I barely escaped with my own life. May I join you please? I have no where else to go and even though I don't want revenge. I do want to see justice done."
Konora then nodded. "We could use your clerical abilities for I see much pain coming for us in the battles ahead."
Looking around I realized we had everyone we needed to seek out and destroy the TODD. Soon we will see the TODD destroyed
