Officially starting up something with Zach. Just hung out with him. Gonna be sending ideas back and forth through Sibelius and seeing what we can come up with and get enough together to hopefully do a demo recording. Starting off by doing that deconstruction of the TToL track "Landmarks" I keep telling you about, as well as possibly reworking Zach's piece "Xdicted."
"Landmarks" is gonna be such a bitch to transcribe any of. But I'm excited!

But yes, this is basically the stuff we've been talking about forever and would love nothing more than for you to be involved from a writing and performance standpoint. I'm introducing Zach to TToL, Ocoai, Grails, and AaL to give him an idea of where I'm coming from when I say I want to explore some possibly heavier prog jazz stuff.
Seriously, fucking listen to it. I really wanna do a re-arrangemnt to "Landmarks" a la "Enjoy Your Rabbit" (though for a smaller group).
Oh...I don't even know if I've told you. I mentioned to Zach that I for real want to start up a band/project with him (he's living in Queens for now), and he immediately said he was down, provided that it was 100% for music and not money (he plays in enough "money" groups and gigs) which is obviously a-ok by me. Gonna try to meet up with him this or next week though and start talking about objectives and what would need to get done for this to happen.
