Well.............
I Would just like to say to everyone (all -1100 of you who read this) that my life, lively hood (read: job, for you cabooses out there), and my future as I knew it has gone away. I live in the New Orleans area, and although my house is still standing, the New Orleans economy is shot to hell. I have no job now, all of my friends and family are splintered out through the other 49 states, my church is scattered as well.
It's funny, out of everything, I miss my church the most. I was a childrens pastor for ages 6-12. My ministry to these kids was how i defined my life. Its what kept me going, what gave me purpose. Its what brought me joy. And now.....
I dont know, I may have to live elsewhere. I am living in Michigan right now with family here. I guess I might want to get a job and try to start things over here, but things will never be the same.
I know I dont have nearly the same reasons to complain as those who lost their house and family members, but that irks me too. I wish i was still down there, pulling people out of the water, bringing supplies into the state, helping clothe and feed people, to help mend the wounds of the sick and hurt, to counsel those who are emotionally distraut. I feel insignificant, I wish there was something I could do.....
