I hate stereotypias.
This.. Is my experience. My clothing and hair just wake up ridicolous thougs in people when they first see me. These are few:
Long black hair and different clotching:
- A girl. (Not really, just some of my class morons make fun of my long hair.)
- A punk.
- An emo.
- A goth.
- A freaking death metal satanist.
- A really depressed person.
Yeah, seriously this is getting retarted. It just was the last drop when some 400 year old granny looked at me like a scum in the store today. Man I sure hate those glances!
Yeah maybe I DO have a long black hair. Maybe i DO wear different stuff than others. Maybe i AM kind of an asshole and stuff, but c´mon. I´ve taken this shit all my life. People at school are like " just go home to listen to your norwegian death metal church burning music". WTF. And the guy who said it was an ASSISTANT of a teacher!! A GROWN UP. That´s childish.
Yes maybe I also make music that sounds sad, but everything here ain´t happy. And the death metal satanist thing? Yeah maybe I do not believe in God like the most of the christians do. But that does not mean that I´d be like those goth things and stuff. -_- I´m so sick of this!! If I just say "rap music sucks. blah blah blah." I hear people saying "Yeah man it´s better than your stupid death metal. RAWR." They just don´t get that I hate rap coz´ I think you don´t really need to put a thought on it when composing, people just expect right away that I´m some "I HATE EVERYTHING ELSE BUT THE THINGS I LIKE" dude.
What should I do? Have my natural hair colour, listen to rap, be and dress like everyone else here so I don´t get comments like that? I try to tell ´em, but they´re really not listening. *sigh*
And also, when some people here have watched TV with me and saw a commercial about Iron Maiden performing in Finland, they ask ME, "Are you going to get there?" I ask, "Do I look like I´m going?" they say "Umm.. Yeah?"...
...
No offense, IM fans, but in my opinion, Iron Maiden is WAAAAAYYYY over rated.
In this world of stereotypias people just expect stuff about me without asking. Is every person that simple now? If I tell someone that I like to hear orchestra music, piano ballads, acoustic guitar songs, classical music, they just don´t believe me, think I´m sarcastic, or just laugh and say "yeah right."
Yeah I have to admit that I also like softer music. It´s just hard to be me over here. Blah blah blah blah. Don´t get me as an Emo or something right now, I sure as hell don´t like ´em, but IM PISSED.
